Cash to the driver
Payment in cash to the driver is only available in selected countries. Our customers can pay their fare at the end of each transfer directly to our drivers in cash in Euro, US Dollar or local currency.
On our website, you can find fixed fares quoted in Russian Rubles (Russia), Euro (Ukraine) or US Dollar (Brazil). If you wish to pay in another currency as indicated on our website, our chauffeur or customer service can quote you the exchange rate of that respective currency on the day of transfer according to local bank rates. Exchange rates may vary on a daily base. Please note that our bank's exchange rate might vary significantly from online services aggregating random exchange rates (like Yahoo or Google). However, the fares as quoted on our website never change and are fixed. If you do not agree on our bank's exchange rates and would like to pay in local currency, you are welcome to pay in cash directly to our drivers' and exchange money in advance at your own bank or at an exchange office in the airport or along the way to your hotel.
Please note that credit/debit card payments can be done only in advance. Card payments will be charged with an additional +4.5% administration fee. Customers who choose this payment method will receive an automated invoice for secure online payment in their confirmation e-mail. The invoice will be automatically quoted in Euro (Europe, Asia) or US Dollar (Brazil). Transfer fares for Russia will be converted to Euro using our bank's exchange rates, which might vary significantly on a daily base (see "Cash" above). If you wish to be invoiced in US Dollar, kindly advise our customer service beforehand.
All credit card payments will be processed through Stripe, a secure, worldwide leader in payment services.
Important: Credit Card payments are not available inside the vehicles, and only accepted as advance payment.
Digital Wallets: Google Pay and Apple Pay
LingoTaxi also supports Google Pay and Apple Pay payments when paying in advance online. Google Pay and Apple Pay payments are processed through Stripe (see above). Google Pay is available if the customer is using Google Chrome or Safari and if the customer is logged in to his/her account and has a valid card registered with Google Pay. Apple Pay is available if the customer's device is running macOS 10.14.1+ or iOS 12.1+, the customer is using the Safari browser and has a valid card registered with Apple Pay. In case the option is not visible to the customer, we recommend to securely check out using credit or debit card details. The same terms as for credit/debit card payments apply.
SEPA bank wire transfer
For private and corporate customers of the 28 member states of the European Union, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and Monaco, LingoTaxi offers payments by bank wire transfers. Bank transfer payments can be done in advance for any services with fixed rates. For SEPA bank transfers, LingoTaxi does not charge the administration fee. Fares will be automatically translated to Euro to given exchange rates, which might vary significantly on a daily base (see above). Customers will receive our bank details after making a reservation, in order to pay their transfers in advance, if this option is chosen.
